In P.E. we have learned the importance of what working out does for your health. Its important to sustain a healthy body and mind to obtain a better lifestyle in the long run. The project that has been given to us is to be able to make our own weights from regular materials around the house. This is a great project to heighten our sense of creativity to create weights to obtain a stronger physical form from what we have at hand. During my P.E. experiance i have learned that if you want to get stronger you need to push yourself. For me to push myself, I came to realize I needed to start pushing myself by using weights. Doing this project is an eye opener because its all anout creativity to obtain a higher goal. I enjoyed this project because I realized I can make Dumbells and a bar with normal stuff around the house such as seen in the photograph. With what I created I am able to to do bicep curls as just one of the examples. Not only that but also I can use them for putting more resistance to do sit ups as well and so on. I really was surprised of how i came about to make this and not have to use actual weights because lets face it not everyone can afford to. The way I created this bar was frpm the stuff I found around my house. It consisted of an old broom stick for the base. The other parts such as the containers on the ends are just plastic bottles i found laying around. I decided to fill them up with small rocks and rice for them to weigh and sure enough it did work. Not only that but I made sure it stayed by taping them. I never thought of this before until now and overall it was a fun project to see how you can make anything out of nothing.
